I have 7 A levels including accountancy,Maths,English ,Business Organisation and 9 O levels including English,Maths, Commerce, I have been working for a car/van hire company for 10 years and have good people skills.I feel I am wasting my education and knowledge and am very interested in working in finance but all jobs seem to require Cemap qualifications which appear to cost a fortune to gain.I wondered if anyone knows an easy way to gain access to the finance industry whereby I could get the qualifications needed to further my career “in-house”.Any help would be appreciated to save my unused brain from going into reverse or coma mode.

Karen, Check out the course below. This is the best way to get into the business. If you live in Texas, I can bring you on with Southwest Funding. Let me know.

Try and get a job with a bank or building society as a trainee adviser. They will have you working in admin for a few years while you get the qualifications, but they will pay you a salary and your exam fees. The Money Marketing site is a good place to start.
Once you’re qualified you can move to a broker and start earning real money.

CeMap is the key, without it you’ll be trying hard to get into it. I work for a high street bank doing mortgage reviews. If you get CeMap doors open for you left right and centre.
