I am thinking of buying a mobile home at a mobile home park as a residence.

It will be a loan rather than a mortgage.
But still go to your normal lender for advice.
I think they do better deals than commercial finance companies used by the suppliers of the homes.
If you mean a “park home” you can get a mortgage on them, but if you mean a mobile home(static caravan) on a holiday park, you cannot. The difference being that a “park home” is a permanent fixture and you pay council tax,but a mobile home on a holiday licensed park is considered to be just that and by law you cannot use them as a main home. The sellers of mobile homes usually deal with lenders but they can work out expensive,so try your bank or local credit union.

Hi, the park owner may well act as a broker for the finance companies, so ask them. These lenders/brokers are also active in the market -

Lots of useful general info. from the government publication “Mobile Homes: A Guide for Residents and Site Owners” -
Hope this helps !
