I want to apply for a loan but have bad credit due to my ex partner, i have looked around, quite a lot of companies ask for an application fee/transfer fee and i do not have that. Can anyone suggest anything else?

No one is going to provide someone with bad credit a good deal, and without upfront fees. Sorry, but you apparently got hosed by your ex.

You should try a local credit union, they are usually more apt to help someone in your situation.
